1. What Is The Yoga Professional Certification Scheme ?

The honourable Prime Minister of India had desired to spread India’s traditional knowledge worldwide with credible systems with specific reference to Yoga which should provide India leadership in assuring quality of Yoga practices across the world. The Ministry of AYUSH in pursuance of the above and in the wake of declaration of International Day of Yoga in 2015 identified the Quality Council of India (QCI) to develop a Voluntary Scheme for Evaluation and Certification of Yoga Professionals.

QCI has designed the Yoga Professional Certification Scheme by adopting the principles and requirements laid down in the international standard, ISO 17024:2012 General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons. The Scheme was presented to the Ministry of AYUSH and was launched on 22 June 2015 in the valedictory function of the International Day of Yoga celebration by the Hon’ble Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh.

Ministry of AYUSH vide Office Memorandum number L20025/21/2015-IC has decided to EXECUTE AND IMPLEMENT Yoga Scheme (The Yoga Scheme comprises of Yoga Professional Certification Scheme and Yoga School Certification Scheme) BY Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) w.e.f 1 March 2018. Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has constituted Yoga Certification Board to manage this scheme.

The Ministry of AYUSH was formed on 9th November 2014 to ensure the optimal development and propagation of AYUSH Systems of Health Care. It was formerly known as the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H) established in March 1995 and was renamed as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November 2003, with focused attention to development of Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.
The Yoga Certification Board is constituted to manage the Scheme of Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals.
Several bodies called Personal Certification Bodies (PrCBs) in India and abroad are appointed to conduct the Yoga Certification Exams. Candidates may approach any of these bodies to register and appear for the exams.

All exam documents pertaining to the application are retained for a period of one year. Documents of the certified personnel are retained for a period of one certification cycle (5 years). All records are maintained in soft copy as per above duration, however all unused physical documents like question paper, OMR sheets will be destroyed in 30 days of the exam being conducted.
There is no eligibility criteria for this certification. It is open for all candidates. To appear in this certification, it is suggested/ desired that the candidate should have passed 10th standard / secondary school certificate from a recognized board or equivalent.
Yes, for differently abled people, the requirement for certification would be limited to only theoretical knowledge and teaching practice. Such professionals will be certified that they have been evaluated only for Knowledge and teaching practice.The nature of disability needs to be reported to PQMS for them giving approval on a case to case basis principle.

You can take ONLY ONE exam in one day. Either of exam cannot be taken together in a day. The candidate is allowed to take only one exam in a day.
For All Levels , the examination has two stages. There is no provision for negative marking. Written (Theory) Examination – The questions are of multiple choice questions (MCQ) type for both offline and online exams. In offline exams, the answer sheet will be in the form of the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) while in the online exam, the software generates the result. b) Ministry of External Affairs body, the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) has recognized the Yoga Teacher & Evaluator Certification and made it as a pre-requisite for foreign deputation for promotion of Yoga
c) State Governments are keenly interested to insert this as a requirement for their recruitment drive from time to time – e.g. Government of Haryana
d) Probability of higher employment opportunities in Government Schools, Colleges, Yoga Institutions, Corporates, Clubs, Wellness Centres, GYM etc.

Signup on ayush prcb with valid EMAIL ID and Mobile number. Verify your email id. Login and click on "Book Exam", a calendar will appear, you can book your exam slot according to exam date suitable to you.

Following are required to appear in online Theory and Practical Exam
Computer / Laptop with Battery Backup and attached Mike, Speaker & Web Camera
Uninterrupted Internet connectivity with 1 MBPS speed
Separate Cabin / Room with sufficient light
Yoga Mat placed 6 feet from the Laptop / Computer in Horizontal position for Practical Exam
Please note that you cannot appear in theory exam from Mobile Phone. However, practical exam can be given from Mobile app with good quality camera
Following are the details required during registration of exam: Name: Fill your name.
Address: Fill your address on which you want your certificate to be dispatch.
Other General Information that will be asked in the form, you have to fill all the details with ‘*’ mark are mandate to fill.
Following are the documents which are required during registration process: You need to upload passport size photograph with white background preferably as the same photo will be there on your certificate. You need to upload any Government ID proof like Adhaar Card, Passport, Voter Card, PAN, Driving License etc.
Candidates need to send an email from his/her registered email id to info@qualityindia.in for any amendments before the last date to apply for exam. No changes in the exam schedule are allowed thereafter.
Please note that the fee is non-transferable. Candidate will have to appear in the exam with the PrCB with which he/she has registered. The transfer of candidate within PrCBs is not allowed. Exceptions, if any shall be handled by YCB.
The candidate has to secure qualifying marks both in theory and practical Independently.
a. If the candidates secures qualifying marks in practical but fails in theory, he/she can reappear for theory exam only once within 3 months of declaration of result. The candidate shall have to deposit the prescribed fee for appearing in the theory exam.
b. If the candidate secures qualifying marks in theory but fails in practical, he/ she is treated as failed and have to appear for the exam as a fresh candidate. In such conditions, the full assessment fee shall have to be paid by the candidate. However, the candidate need not to make payment of YCB enrollment fee again. His/her unique enrollment no. shall be valid for appearing again in the exam for same certification.
Candidates can apply for re-appear exam from their dashboard after login into their account. Visit the Result Tab and click on Re-appear. Select the exam date and make payment of requisite Re-appear fee.
No, candidate can appear in the re-appear exam with the same PrCB for which candidate has first time appeared in exam. However, Candidate can Re-Register for full exam.
Fees Once Paid is Non Refundable.
Candidates have to select their preferred language while applying. By default Questions and answers are in Hind and English both.

No, it is not mandatory at all. You can directly appear in any level according to your preparation and knowledge.
You will receive your admit card on your registered email id 4-5 days prior to exam date.
There is no admit card for online examination. We will send you an e-mail about your examination details with Link to appear in Theory Exam, Link to appear in Practical Exam along with time slot of Practical Exam on your registered email id 2-3 days prior to exam date.

Theory examination will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM.
You will get slot of 30 minutes for practical exam which will be held from 1 PM to 6 PM on Saturday or 9 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
Live Demo for filling OMR will be given by PQMS Coordinator before offline Exam and a mock test to appear in online exam will be sent to candidate through email 5-6 days prior to exam date, Other instructions will be on your admit card/email.
If a candidate after issuance of admit card / receipt of email of exam schedule (Online Exam) for a particular exam does not appear for the exam, then the Fee paid for the exam will be forfeited. The result of the candidate will be declared as “ABSENT”. In cases she/he wants to appear again then candidate should apply for fresh date and make payment of the requisite exam fee. However, candidate need not to make payment of YCB enrollment for the same certification.
If the candidate is not satisfied with his/her marks, he/she is permitted to apply for re-checking with stipulated fee within 15 days from the date of result declaration. The total time taken for the rechecking process is 30 working days from date of payment.
Re-checking is limited to the calculation of marks.
Results is declared within 15 days after Exam.
Result is informed through email on candidate’s registered E-Mail ID
Result is prepared through Software which obtained the answers marked by candidates during examination

Exam Fees once paid is Non-Refundable irrespective of Result Outcome.

Marks scored by candidate for of both Theory & Practical exams are displayed in Result and Status of Result is also mentioned (Fail/Pass)
If a candidate is not satisfied with the result of theory exam, he/she can fill Re-checking by paying requisite fee.
Candidate can fill Re-checking with in 15 days after declaration of Result
Result of Re-checking will be declared with in 7 Working Days after last date to apply.
Result of Re-checking is e-mailed to Candidates on their Registered E-Mail ID
Certificate to Pass Candidates is delivered to their registered address within 20 days after declaration of result.
Certificate is issued by Yoga Certification Board with logo of Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India
Certificate is valid for 5 Years for all the certifications.
When the Certificate is dispatched, Candidate will be intimated through E-Mail on registered E-Mail ID along with Tracking Number of Courier/Speed Post
Generally it depends on the Location, In the City limits it is delivered with 3-4 days and in remote locations with 5-7 Working Days. Candidates are advised to track the packet.
If a given address is wrong or changed, then Certificate will be returned back in our office and candidate will be informed about that same. Candidates need to send us a request via email for re-dispatch of certificate along with payment of Rs. 150/- as Courier charges if to be posted in India and 19 $ if to be posted outside India. After receipt of request & requisite fee it will be re-dispatched.
After receipt of request and fee, the duplicate certificate is issued within 15-20 working days.
As such there is no limit, When the Certificate is lost, Candidate need to report the same via e-mail to care@qualityindia.in and submit the requisite fee of Rs. 354/- in PQMS bank account.
After Declaration of Result, There is No Fee is charged from candidates for issuing of Certificate.
Candidate Certificate is generated with unique QR Code to check the authenticity of the certificate

Candidate has to login on our website. On dashboard select ‘Exam Details’. Click on ‘Edit Exam’ and change the exam date before 10 days of exam. Exam date cannot be changed if previous selected exam date is after less than 10 days.
